Before you
can use Blogger, you must first have a Google account. This is not a difficult
thing to get and it’s free. In fact some people already have a Google account
but they may not realize it. If you have a Gmail account, i.e an email that
like this: myname@gmail.com, it means that you already have a Google account. If
you don’t yet have it, just rush now to Gmail
and follow the instructions to register your gmail account. Once that is done,
move on to the next step below.
To
register your new blog, go to Blogger
The
website looks like this:
You
can now sign in directly with your Gmail and then move on to the process of
creating your free blog. On the right hand side of the page as shown below,
you’ll see a section that says Sign in. Enter your user name or Gmail address and password as indicated
and then click on Sign In.
If
this is your first time signing in to Blogger with your Gmail account, you will
be asked again to sign up specifically for the Blogger service. Fill the form
accordingly. The Display name is the name that other people will see as the owner when they
visit your website or view your Google profile. You can use Admin for this.
Next select your gender, accept the terms and click Continue.
Note: Google now tries to combine all their products in one
account. Hence, you will be creating a Google+ profile (a social site like
facebook) that is linked to your blog.
When you have thus successfully signed in, you will see a new page
which is known as the dashboard. It is from the dashboard that you can create
new blogs, manage existing ones and view other information and statistics
regarding your blog website and other Blogger websites.
With
this your one account, you can actually create as many blogs as you like. Click
on “Create your blog now”
Once you click on that, a small window will pop up with ‘Title’, ‘Address’
and a set of templates for you to choose from. Under Title, write the title of
your blog, e.g Guru Bloggers. It is important here to point out that whatever subject your blog
is talking about, the title ought to be related in some way to that subject. Under address, write
the URL of your blog without the .blogspot.com part, which is already included
e.g ‘gurubloggers’. If the name you chose has already been taken, you will be
alerted immediately then you can type another one until you get one that is
available. After that, choose a template of your choice. You can choose any
template and change or customize it later. Now click on ‘Create Blog’.
Congratulations!
Now you have your very own website. Click on ‘Start Blogging!’ to start using your new
website.

you can check other posts on this blog to pimp up your blog to have a
